Juvederm Vollure XC

Juvederm Vollure XC

Hyaluronic acid filler engineered for moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds and mid-density facial contour. Mid-range G-prime in the Juvederm Vycross family — softer than Voluma, firmer than Volbella. FDA-approved for nasolabial folds with results lasting up to 18 months.

What it is

Juvederm Vollure XC is a hyaluronic acid (HA) gel in the Juvederm Vycross family — the same proprietary cross-linking technology used in Voluma and Volbella, calibrated to a different density and lift capacity.

Vollure sits in the middle of the Juvederm range. It has more lift and structure than Volbella but a softer, more flexible finish than Voluma. That makes it the right product for indications where you need contour and durability without the firmness of a deep structural filler.

FDA-approved for moderate to severe nasolabial folds, with clinical data demonstrating results lasting up to eighteen months — among the longest durations in the HA filler category.

How Dr. Brown approaches it

Vollure at Esvie is selected when the anatomic target is mid-density correction. The nasolabial fold is the canonical indication — placement is typically in the deep dermal or immediate subdermal plane along the fold itself, with attention to the medial cheek that supports it. A nasolabial fold is rarely an isolated finding; it is most often a downstream result of midface volume loss above it. Dr. Brown will name when the right answer is Vollure to the fold itself, Voluma to the medial cheek that drives it, or both.

Marionette lines and the prejowl sulcus respond similarly — Vollure refines the contour without producing the heaviness that a denser filler can cause in the lower face.

Typical first treatment uses one to two syringes for nasolabial folds, depending on fold severity and whether adjacent areas are addressed. Dr. Brown places every syringe.

What to expect

Day of treatment: Topical numbing for ~20 minutes. Vollure XC contains lidocaine for additional comfort during placement. The visit runs 30–45 minutes.

Immediately after: Result is visible right away. Mild swelling along the treatment lines is normal for 24–72 hours. Bruising risk is moderate — small bruises typically resolve within 7–10 days.

Two weeks: Filler integrates fully. Swelling resolves. The two-week look is the result you booked for.

Aftercare: Avoid pressing or massaging treated areas for one week. Avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for twenty-four hours.

Candidacy

Good candidates have moderate to severe nasolabial folds, marionette lines, or prejowl contour loss — and want a result that is visible immediately, looks natural, and lasts close to a year and a half.

Not a candidate if your concern is deep structural midface volume loss; Voluma is engineered for that indication. Not a candidate for lip work; the Juvederm Ultra products and Volbella are designed for lip anatomy. Not a candidate if you are pregnant or nursing or have active skin infection at the site.

If Vollure is not the right product for you, Dr. Brown will name the one that is. Often the most effective plan combines Vollure for the fold with Voluma for the midface support above it — addressing the cause, not just the line.
