1. Our commitment
Esvie Medical Spa is committed to providing a website that is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe digital accessibility is a continuous process, and we work to ensure that this site can be used by the widest possible audience — regardless of ability or technology.
2. Standards we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a range of disabilities — including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
3. Features we have built in
- Semantic HTML structure — headings, landmarks, and roles are used so the site is navigable by assistive technologies.
- Alternative text on meaningful images — including the physician portrait and team photos.
- Keyboard navigation — the site can be operated without a mouse. Interactive elements (menus, dropdowns, the inquiry form) respond to keyboard focus and the ESC key.
- ARIA labels on the mobile menu, the treatments dropdown, and the floating inquiry panel.
- Color contrast — body text and primary interactive elements are designed to meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Reduced-motion support — animations are disabled for visitors who have set the
prefers-reduced-motionpreference in their operating system. - Resizable text — the site uses scalable typography (rem units) so browser font-size settings are respected.
4. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on the site may not yet meet our accessibility goals. Known limitations include:
- Embedded third-party content — the Square Appointments scheduling widget and the Google Maps embed are controlled by their respective providers. Their accessibility is governed by Square and Google.
- Recently published content — newly added pages or photography may not have been fully reviewed for accessibility yet. We work to address gaps as they are identified.
- PDF documents — if we publish PDF documents in the future, we will work to ensure they are properly tagged for assistive technology.
5. Ongoing improvements
We regularly review the site for accessibility, address issues as they are identified, and incorporate feedback from visitors. Accessibility is a process, not a destination — we expect to keep improving.
6. Feedback and assistance
If you have difficulty using any part of this site, or if you would like to report an accessibility barrier, please contact the office. We will work with you to provide the information or service you need in an accessible format and to address the underlying issue.
